brandon Delvo

Meet Brandon Delvo, a proud native of Williston, North Dakota, whose passion for history and community engagement has shaped both his personal and professional journey. Graduating from Williston State College with an Associates in History & Political Science, Brandon furthered his academic pursuits at the University of Jamestown, earning a Bachelor's Degree in the same field.

Brandon served in the U.S. Army from 2002-2013. Serving two combat deployments to Iraq, 2004 & 2008. Brandon served as an Infantryman for 4 years. Brandon utilizes his military experience in the field of history and in his living history interpretation.

For the past five years, Brandon has made significant contributions to the field of marketing, leveraging his skills to promote various initiatives and causes. However, his dedication extends far beyond the office, as he actively participates in several community organizations.

As a committed advocate for preserving local history, Brandon is deeply involved in organizations such as the Fort Union Muzzleloaders Association, Fort Buford 6th Infantry Regimental Association. Through these roles, he educates and informs the public about the rich heritage of the Missouri-Yellowstone Confluence area and the American Fur Trade of the Upper Missouri, as well as the history of Fort Buford and its occupants. Brandon is also a member of the prestigious organization, The American Mountain Men, holding member #2228. Brandon is also a member of the National Association for Interpretation.

Founder and Historian

As a veteran, Brandon is involved with the Williston Military Affairs Committee, where he holds the position of President, demonstrating his commitment to veteran support & advocacy. He is also involved with the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), serving as Surgeon/First Trustee. He is a member of the Williams County Veterans Honor Guard. He is also a member of American Legion Post 116, Grenora, ND, where his Grandpa and Uncle had memberships before him.

Alongside his son, Elias, an active Cub Scout in Pack 378, Williston, ND, Brandon serves as Committee Chairman for Cub Scout Pack 378.

Furthermore, Brandon is also a member of the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce Policy Committee and the Williston Downtowners Association.

With his diverse experiences and unwavering dedication to community engagement, Brandon continues to make a positive impact on the fabric of Williston, North Dakota, enriching the lives of its residents and preserving its rich history for generations to come.
